EFB is proud to announce the successful collaboration between our representative, Mr. Leonardo Piccinetti, and the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research (IMR) through the Merfish Project. This secondment program exemplifies our commitment to addressing nutrient contaminant challenges through research networks and innovative solutions.
During his time at IMR, Mr. Piccinetti is working alongside renowned researcher Dr. Yiou Mike Zhu, focusing on advancing the understanding of nutrient contaminant mechanisms in fish and humans. Their joint efforts led to the development of cutting-edge analytical approaches and an assessment of the transfer of these elements in commonly consumed fish species
As part of the secondment, both Mr. Piccinetti have pleasured to meet Dr. Zhu at the Bergen International Conference (NNC2024), where they further solidified their collaborative efforts and expanded their knowledge in the field.
